Majorel, a leading global customer experience (CX) and BPO provider, is making a significant contribution to the tremendous spirit of national unity and solidarity that Morocco is experiencing during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The company has dedicated its full technical and human resources support to the Moroccan Ministry of Health by setting-up and launching “Allo Yakada”, a COVID-19 national hotline that offers a 24/7 information and monitoring service for citizens. “Allo Yakada” literally translates as “Hello Vigilance”, and the initiative is an important part of the country’s National COVID-19 Response Plan.
Reliable information and reassurance at a time of pandemic-related distress
The hotline service – reachable at 080-100-47-47 - is geared towards callers with general questions about COVID-19 and aims to help prevent the spread of misinformation, to reassure callers in a situation of distress, and to reinforce the importance of common hygiene guidelines. Callers who report COVID-19 like symptoms are referred directly to a specially dedicated COVID-19 unit at the Ministry of Health.
Through providing reliable information, helpful advice, and reassurance the hotline service helps to reduce the number of people visiting hospitals merely to check if they are not COVID-19 positive, which happened at the start of the outbreak. This allows the health authorities to focus on the patients already in their care.
One hundred Majorel staff members have volunteered to support the Allo Yakada hotline at 4 of the company’s locations in Morocco. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the volunteers are currently handling more than 5,000 calls a day.
"Majorel’s support team of 100 volunteers reduces the pressure on the Ministry of Health so they can focus on high-risk cases. We’re truly proud and humbled by the Ministry of Health and Moroccan citizens’ trust. And we are honored to be entrusted with such an important and delicate endeavor in order to fight on the frontline, alongside our national health authorities, against the COVID-19 pandemic. “said Hassan Ghellab, General Director - Majorel Africa.
