Responsible Sourcing

Economic success and good corporate citizenship go hand-in-hand at Majorel. As such, responsible behaviour towards our team members, business partners, society and the environment are integral parts of our company´s value system. Being a Supplier itself, Majorel has a long-term partnership with Business for Social Responsibility, Inc. (BSR), under which we are active in targeting and providing career development opportunities to people who otherwise have limited prospects for formal employment. This relationship is an important element in our global impact sourcing strategy.

As part of our Corporate Responsibility program we work towards selecting Suppliers who share the same vision.

Supplier’s Ethical Conduct

Suppliers are an integral part of our day-to-day business and contribute to our success. We expect our Suppliers and Contractors to demonstrate their commitment to responsible and ethical conduct as set out in our Supplier Code of Conduct.

At Majorel, those involved in procurement and purchasing have a duty to source Suppliers responsibly, with integrity, and without lowering our own internal standards.

Supplier Code of Conduct

The Majorel Supplier Code of Conduct requires all Majorel business partners who act for, together with, or on behalf of the company, to observe minimum standards of compliance and ethics. These standards must be passed along the value chain by the supplier to all third parties (e.g., sub-contractors and contract workers) who are employed within the scope of the supplier’s work for Majorel.

At Majorel we expect our Suppliers to monitor their compliance with the requirements of our Supplier Code of Conduct. We may also conduct audits or surveys of Suppliers.

  • Get a copy of the Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Report a concern in relation to Supplier conduct using our Speak Up channel
  • Ask a question about the Supplier Code of Conduct

General Screening Information

We conduct due diligence checks on all our Suppliers and Contractors.

As part of our commitment to international trade compliance, Majorel screens its Suppliers for compliance with foreign trade laws. This screening includes the verification that our Suppliers are not on sanctions or denied party lists.

During this screening the legal entity names, location and registration details of our Suppliers may be used. In certain cases, this may include legal directors and beneficial owners’ names. Please consult the privacy notice.

Our Commitment to Integrity

Transparency and responsibility are essential in our engagements with Suppliers and our contribution to local Communities. We will never ask you to enter a side agreement or to provide undue advantage to individuals in our Company. By policy, we do not authorize our employees to receive or ask for cash for payments. Solicitation or participation in bribery is also prohibited and may have serious consequences both for employees and Suppliers.

We believe that a good business relationship should be based on trust and fair process. If you witness misconduct by one of our team members, please report it immediately to our Speak Up channel. You will have the choice to remain anonymous when reporting the issue.

Supplier Information Security Framework

Majorel has set a high standard for our Information Security and our ISO 27001 certification is a demonstration of this. We expect our suppliers to have the same standards of security for their infrastructure, services, and data in order to do business with us.

Supply chains can be large and complex, involving many organizations doing many different things, providing many different services. It can be difficult to secure the supply chain, since the weakest link can impact the full chain of actions.

In order to reduce the potential for disruption and loss, we have implemented a number of steps during the on-boarding process and for the duration of the agreement. We will work closely with you to guide you through these processes to ensure it is beneficial for you and us.

Data Protection

We expect all of our suppliers who process personal data on behalf of Majorel to have tools and processes in place so that the privacy rights of data subjects are upheld at all times.

We expect suppliers who process personal data on our behalf to always be in-line with the following:

  • Data processing must be lawful, fair, and transparent
  • Collection of personal data must be only for a specified purpose
  • Processes should use the minimum amount of personal data required to execute the task
  • Keep personal data accurate, and when necessary, up-to-date, and take all reasonable steps to erase or correct inaccurate data
  • Only retain personal data for as long as required
  • Process data in a safe and secure manner, preventing unauthorized and/or accidental access, disclosure and/or alteration of such data
  • Be able to provide evidence of your compliance with data protection legislation
  • Ensure all your staff receive an appropriate level of data protection and privacy training,
  • Have processes in place to identify and notify Majorel of any data protection breaches in-line with your contractual agreements with us
  • Ensure personal data are not transferred to another country without prior written consent from Majorel
  • Have processes in place to assess any risk to Personal Data, such as conducting risk assessments and data protection impact assessments
  • Have processes in place to enable data subjects to exercise their privacy rights
  • Ensure third parties are not allowed to process Majorel’s personal data without prior written consent from us
